Seattle Seahawks’ new tight end, Jimmy Graham, has said that he has fully recovered from the shoulder injury that he played through last season. Graham was recently traded to the Seahawks in exchange for Pro Bowl Center Max Unger, as well as the Seahawks first round pick in 2015. Now with New Orleans behind him, he has started training camp in Seattle.

Graham’s play took a hit when his shoulder was ailing, as it was visible his blocking was weaker than before. He admitted his injury occurred early in the season. Graham also declined to have surgery on it, and tried to play through the pain. Graham had 889 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

When asked about his shoulder at Seahawk OTA’s, Graham said,

That’s in the past. That was 10 weeks of terror right there. I rehabbed it completely and everything’s been fine. I’ve great.

Graham has been a big factor in the Seahawks game plan. Multiple accounts say that when Graham is on man coverage, quarterback Russell Wilson takes advantage of the situation, and connects with his new tight end. Graham scored 5 touchdowns in red zone drills. He also managed to score a touchdown in 7 on 7’s.

It has become apparent that Graham has begun to form a close relationship with quarterback Russell Wilson. Graham and Wilson were lights out at OTA’s, and their chemistry has become apparent very quickly. Their bond has even taken place off of the field, as Graham’s manager and mentor Tamara Meyerson passed away on Friday, May 22, and Graham and Wilson both attended the service.

OTA’s are just the start for Graham, and now that his shoulder is 100%, he is ready to dominate for his new team, the Seattle Seahawks.
