Kevin Garnett re-signs with Minnesota Timberwolves

The oldest legend in the NBA that goes by the name of Kevin Garnett is gonna give it one final run, signing a two year deal to remain with the team that made him, the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Garnett, 39, is entering his 22nd season in the NBA – the longest tenure of any active NBA player.

Garnett is the Timberwolves all-time leader in just about every statistical category and is easily the franchise’s greatest player. He put the Minnesota franchise on the map during his prime, and now has a chance to really benefit this team again during his final years.

The Timberwolves have arguably the best core of young talent that the league has seen in a long time. Andrew Wiggins and Karl Anthony-Towns are both potential all-time great players, but the team itself is still too young to make any sort of playoff run.

The best way to develop young talent, is to have veteran legends show them how to become great players. The veteran presence of Garnett will do wonders for the development of Towns and Wiggins.

Even if Garnett doesn’t put up spectacular numbers, his wisdom will be more than enough of a contribution to this young team.
