After a rough draft week, La’el Collins is now officialy an undrafted free agent, and has already met with Bills coach, Rex Ryan. Collins was a projected first round pick, but after the murder of a pregnant ex-girlfriend, teams were reluctant to draft him. He has spent the last week with police, and is not considered a suspect at this time. However, he has yet to be cleared from the investigation.

Police have anounced that La’el is not the father of his ex-girlfriend’s baby. This is good for La’el, because it significantly decreases the chances of him being ruled a suspect.

Collins can now meet with any NFL team, and sign wherever he wants. The Buffalo Bills sent new coach Rex Ryan to Louisiana, where he had dinner with Collins. Ian Rapoport reported that the meeting did not include Collins’s agent, Deryk Gilmore.

Collins had an outstanding career back in his LSU days, as he was named to First Team All-SEC, and won the Jacobs Blocking award. He also was an SEC champion back in 2011.

Collins reportedly has many teams interested in him, and he may wake up from his current nightmare very soon, and begin his journey in the NFL.
