Mike Miller, Cleveland Cavaliers Agree On Two-Year Deal

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed on a two-year, $5.5 million dollar deal with veteran forward Mike Miller according to multiple reports.

Although Miller was offered more money to play in Denver and Houston, he decided to reunite with LeBron James in search of another NBA Championship. He played with James for three years while in Miami.

The 34-year-old sharpshooter averaged 7.1 points and 2.5 rebounds per game with the Memphis Grizzlies last year. Although he only played about 21 minutes per game, he was a valuable three-point shooter, making 45.9% of his attempts from beyond the arc.

James actively recruited him and other veterans – including Ray Allen – who have yet to decide to sign with a team. He will become a valuable asset for the Cavaliers, as they struggled to find a reliable perimeter shooter during the 2013 season.

The second year of Miller’s deal is a player-option, as he could decide to opt out after the first year.
