The New York Jets have agreed to sign free agent cornerback Buster Skrine, according to multiple reports. The deal will be over a four-year span with Skrine earning $25 million dollars, $13 million of which will be guaranteed.

Skrine had a solid year in 2014, accumulating 67 tackles and four interceptions. He has improved with each season and finally cashed in after his four-year stint with the Cleveland Browns. The 25-year-old cornerback should be a very reliable option for the Jets, as he has never missed a single game while being a very productive player in the process.

The Jets also hope to add coveted free agent Darrelle Revis, making their cornerback position improve drastically. According to Adam Schefter and many other insiders, Revis will likely end up in New York alongside Skrine.

Only time will tell where Revis ends up, but for now, the Jets added a much-needed starter to the team’s weak secondary.
