Sunday at 1:00 PM EST, the new-look Buffalo Bills, led by new head coach Rex Ryan, will be at home facing off against the Indianapolis Colts.

This will be a tough first game for the Bills, as last season the Colts advanced to the AFC Championship Game, where they lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion New England Patriots.

Preview:

Buffalo Bills

The Bills made many moves this offseason, but none were as big as the acquisition of superstar running back LeSean McCoy, who rushed for 1,319 yards last season.

However, McCoy has not played since August 14th due to hamstring issues, but looks like he will play in Week 1.

During the preseason, the Bills quarterback battle ended with Tyrod Taylor being named the starter for Week 1, in what will be his first career NFL start.

Taylor will have plenty of weapons at his disposal, with receivers Sammy Watkins and Percy Harvin as the Bills’ top two receivers.

While the Bills’ offense is full of playmakers, their defense is stacked with pass rushers and solid players in the secondary.

With players like Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, and Jerry Hughes on the defensive line, the Bills will look to get to Colts’ quarterback Andrew Luck early and often.

Cornerback Stephon Gilmore, along with safeties Corey Graham and Aaron Williams will be relied on to keep the Colts’ passing game in check.

If the Bills’ defense can rattle Andrew Luck and get him off the field quickly, they will have plenty of success on Sunday.

Indianapolis Colts

Words cannot describe how great of a quarterback Andrew Luck is. Last season, Luck threw for 4,761 yards and 40 touchdowns. The 2014 Pro Bowler will have plenty of weapons at his disposal on Sunday in T.Y. Hilton and free agent signings Frank Gore and Andre Johnson.

The Colts’ defense, while it may not be at the same level as the Bills, is loaded with playmakers like Vontae Davis, Mike Adams, and Trent Cole.

If the Colts’ secondary can shut down the Bills’ passing attack, and their defensive line can hold LeSean McCoy in check, then the Colts should walk away with the easy win.

Deciding Factors:

In the end, the Colts’ offense is too high-powered for the Bills’ defense. With Bills’ defensive tackle Marcell Dareus suspended for the game, Andrew Luck will not face enough pressure from the Bills defensive line to throw him off of his game.

In the end, the Colts should walk away with the win after their defense gets quick stops and Andrew Luck continuously drives the Colts into the end zone.

The Final Score: Colts win 41-24
