With just two days before the season starts, the New York Giants and Eli Manning have agreed on a new four-year contract extension worth $84 million dollars with $65 million guaranteed.

Manning was entering the final year of his current deal, which was a six-year deal worth $97.5 million.

This keeps him with the team until 2019; the deal will include a no trade clause.

This past season for the Giants, Manning threw for 4,410 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.

The team must be happy that the deal got done right before the season started. This was the number one priority all offseason, to lock up their star quarterback before the season started.
