Kam Chancellor Ends Holdout

After a long offseason and even the first two games of the NFL season, Seattle Seahawks Pro Bowl Safety Kam Chancellor has ended his holdout over a contract dispute.

Chancellor, who has three years left on his contract, announced that he was giving up his holdout in a text to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, in which he stated, “Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can’t let my dawg down….Real talk.”

Without Chancellor in as the Seahawks’ starting safety, their defense has not played at the level that the “Legion of Boom” has played at in the past two years, when the Seahawks rode their defense to back-to-back Superbowl appearances.

In two games against the St. Louis Rams and Green Bay Packers, the Seahawks defense has allowed a combined 61 points.

With Chancellor now in the Seahawks’ secondary for the rest of the season, the Seahawks hope to turn their season around, as thus far they have an 0-2 record and are sitting in last place in the NFC West.

In Week Three, the Seahawks face a Chicago Bears team that will be without Quarterback Jay Cutler due to a hamstring injury, and a banged up Alshon Jeffery that did not play in Week Two due to a hamstring injury.
