The Seattle Seahawks have come to terms on a deal with cornerback Cary Williams, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun. The details are yet to be released, however the two parties seem to have came to an agreement.

After losing Byron Maxwell to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Seahawks made it a priority to add reinforcements to the ‘Legion of Boom’. Williams was recently released after two season with Philadelphia. The cornerback had 60 tackles and two interceptions in 2014.

The team in a sense traded cornerbacks with the Eagles and only time will tell which side gets the better deal. Maxwell signed a six-year, $63 million dollar deal while Williams will likely sign a much smaller contract.

The 30-year-old cornerback has experienced many problems while in Philly. During a joint training camp session, he was reportedly in a fist fight with New England’s Aaron Dobson. Later that year, he had an altercation with wide receiver Riley Cooper.

Even with his problems, Williams has been a reliable option. He has not missed a game since 2010, where he appeared in 13 games. Despite his struggles, which ultimately led to his release, Williams will join a talented secondary that includes Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, and Earl Thomas.
