Even though the Free Agency Period has boiled over and is near the end. There are a good amount of underappreciated role players who can still be snagged and produce for the right team. Here are some that stand out and can make big contributions next year in the NBA.

PF/C Andray Blatche: Often viewed as a problem in his early stages of his career, Blatche has matured fairly well and played great last year for Brooklyn. His Per 36 Minutes stats over the last two years were 18.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 2.25 assists per game. He might not block or rebound ‘out of his mind’, but he can provide a scoring threat due to his newly developed a decent mid-range game.

SF Michael Beasley: Most people are thinking that Michael Beasley is done and overstayed his welcome with too many teams. Beasley is still a big talent even with all his troubles; he was a former second overall pick who averaged 19.2 points per game in 2010 with Minnesota. When given minutes and opportunities, he can still get buckets. Last year in Miami, Beasley stayed fairly quiet and may be desperate enough to take the minimum salary for another chance. I can see him fit on a Lakers team who still needs scoring.

SF/PF Shawn Marion: Marion is nearing the end of his career, but he has still found a way to make a difference on the court. Marion was a big part of that championship run with the Dallas Mavericks and can still rebound, defend, and get easy baskets at the same rate. It is rumored that the Cavaliers are trying to come in terms with him for a deal and it would be a great move if they can pull it off.
