Cristiano Ronaldo had a great start to 2015, winning the Ballon d’Or award. His agent, Jorge Mendes, spoke to Spanish radio recently, discussing the soccer star’s future.

The official spoke candidly on how Ronaldo will continue scoring goals for Real Madrid until his 40th birthday. However, as of late, Ronaldo’s game has been a bit off and he has managed to be sent off and banned from two games thus far.

On the other hand, the Red Devils (Manchester United) have been rumoured to be linked with a double bold move for the romantic return of Cristiano Ronaldo and sensational star Gareth Bale. Pundits are engaging in free bets favouring Ronaldo’s move to Old Trafford easier than that of Bale.

A newspaper recently broke the story that former Manchester United long-serving manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been adamantly asking Ronaldo to make a comeback to Old Trafford. Reports are coming out stating that the former Red Devils manager “wined and dined” Cristiano Ronaldo after the Spanish club lost the Champions League to Schalke 04. The rumours continue to suggest that the player is considering to leave the club at the end of the season.

Rumor Mills

Spanish newspapers are under the impression that, if things continue to be stale for Spanish side Real Madrid this season, it’s likely that the team will be overhauled when the season concludes. The revision could see Cristiano Ronaldo part ways with the Spanish Giants and perhaps re-join his former club.

Speculators are of the opinion that should Cristiano decide to leave the Spanish Giants, Bale will remain put and vice versa. Punters engaging in free bets have bet their money on a longer stay for Bale as he is a favourite player with the club’s president.

The Age Factor

Punters agree that the 30-year-old Real Madrid Player is wanted back at his old club. Players from Manchester United are trying to convince Ronaldo to return and once again, be apart of the team.

The question that remains is whether Ronaldo will make a comeback, or if the English club will settle on signing Bale, who is five years younger than Ronaldo.

But between the two players, Ronaldo has an upper hand and his knowledge of Manchester United could give him more points were he to settle on moving back.

Real Madrid, on the contrary, may be a bit hesitant to let the top player go. Ronaldo has proven his worth for the team, scoring superb goals in big matches while on the team.
