HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS?!?!?!  That’s right folks the third seeded Dallas Cowboys have won a playoff game, coming from behind in the second half to seal the Detroit Lions’ fate with a 24-20 victory. This game is littered with strange calls before and during the game, but do not think for a second that the Cowboys did not win this game with pure talent. Thinking anything else simply means one thing… You’re bitter and you’re looking for excuses.

Let’s start with the things working against the Cowboys. To start, Ndamukong Suh shouldn’t have been allowed anywhere near Dallas, Texas on Sunday. The NFL is disgusting for allowing that dirty player to continue to suit up on Sunday. Furthermore, in the first half the Cowboys were flagged three times for many questionable penalties. To put it simply, the referees in this game were incompetent. To end the first half the Detroit Lions led 17-to-7. On to the second half.

The Lions could only manage one measly field goal in the second half while the Cowboys roared back to only a 20-17 point deficit. Then, at around eight minutes the call heard around the world happened. Cowboys rookie linebacker Anthony Hitchens was beat off the line by Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew and then what appeared to be defensive pass interference happened.

What Lions fans are ignoring is the fact Hitchens could not turn his head around because the Lions tight end had him firmly by the face-mask. The referees huddled again after the initial call and rightfully took the penalty away. Controversy has not stopped and many argue on calls ranging from defensive holding to offensive (or defensive) pass interference.

This led to a Lions punt and a classic Tony Romo comeback, game-winning touchdown to Terrance Williams. The Lions had one last shot and then Matthew Stafford was stripped by Anthony Spencer and picked up by rookie Demarcus Lawrence.

Game over right….nope the rookie didn’t fall on the ball and coughed it up himself. The young man was about to be the next Leon Lett. However, he redeemed himself later in the drive. On fourth down and three D-Law came off the edge and stripped Stafford PLUS the kid recovered the fumble. That led to two Romo kneel downs and a playoff victory.

I’ll say it again guys…..  HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS!?!?!?
