The Memphis Grizzlies are already a really good team, a consistent NBA playoff team that can get it done in every way. Once the NBA office re-opens on Monday, they will be getting even better. The framework for a three-team, four player trade between the Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtics and New Orleans Pelicans is in place. The most important part of this trade, is Boston sending scoring small forward Jeff Green to the Grizzlies.

Green entered the league in 2007, he was the fifth overall pick of the 2007 draft after a great tenure at Georgetown. He is having the best scoring season of his career, averaging 17.6 points per game. For his career, he’s averaged 14.4 points per. Green adds solid but inconsistent wing scoring to a definite playoff team, that at times this season has lacked scoring. Another thing to add, Green in his last playoff appearance in 2013, averaged 20 points per game in a six game series loss. A great addition for Memphis.
