Scoring machine and star center Brook Lopez has reached a verbal agreement on a three year $60 million max deal with the Brooklyn Nets.

Lopez has always been amongst the league’s best scoring centers, posting an average of 18 points per game over seven NBA seasons. He has spent his entire career with the Nets, who picked him 10th overall out of Stanford.

The issue with Brook Lopez has been his problem staying healthy, playing just 162 out of a possible 328 regular season games over the past four seasons. Lopez is an extremely valuable player for a team that has made the playoffs each of the past three seasons. The key is obviously being able to stay healthy. The Nets are also expected to resign PF Thaddeus Young in due time.
