After the Boston Red Sox suffered through a seven game losing streak, things finally seemed to click for them. They clobbered the Atlanta Braves 9-4 to snap their losing streak.

Leading the way for the Red Sox was Brock Holt. Holt hit for the cycle and went 4-for-5 with two RBI.

Also helping the Red Sox in their win was outfielder Mookie Betts. Betts and Holt went a combined 7-for-9 with three RBI and four runs scored.

Holt has been productive in his limited playing time all season, as he has hit .309 in his 152 at bats. The home run for Holt was only his second on the season, as he is a contact hitter that can draw walks (as shown by his .400 OBP).

This game for the Red Sox could be a turning point for them and spark a winning streak. The Red Sox are currently 8.5 games back of the AL East’s first place Tampa Bay Rays and are 28-38 on the season.

The Red Sox have to be encouraged by the performance put in by Holt and must hope that he can lead the Red Sox up the rankings in the AL East.
