When the Pittsburgh Steelers lost Le’Veon Bell to a torn ACL in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals, they needed someone to step up and fill the void that the Pro Bowl running back had left. That man was DeAngelo Williams.

Williams was phenomenal in Bell’s absence, as he rushed for 597 yards and eight touchdowns from Week 8 through 17.

Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, they will be without Williams in the Wild Card game against the Steelers on Sunday due to an ankle injury suffered in the last game of the season.

In his place, the Steelers will use former University of Michigan running back Fitzgerald Toussaint as their primary running back, with former Jacksonville Jaguar Jordan Todman as his backup.

In his four years at Michigan, Toussaint rushed for 2,290 yards to go along with 28 touchdowns. He also caught 31 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns.

While the Steelers will be without Williams, they will still boast one of the best offenses in the entire NFL. Led by quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown, the Steelers will still be a tough matchup for the Andy Dalton-less Cincinnati Bengals.

Still, the loss of Williams will put much more pressure on Roethlisberger to get the Steelers past the Bengals and into the next round of the playoffs.
