3rd Place- New York Giants (6-10)

The New York Giants will also end with the same record that they ended with last season. Though they will look like a better team on the outside, there’s just not enough improvement to give them a boost in their record.

On offense the Giants will be getting wide receiver Victor Cruz back after he tore his patellar tendon in a Sunday Night Football game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Second year receiver Odell Beckham Jr. should also have a spectacular season, even if he can’t quite replicate his success from last season. In addition, free agent acquisition Shane Vereen should add a whole new dimension to their offense. Eli Manning also now has a year of experience under his belt in this offense, so things can be expected to run smoother. The Giants should actually have an above average offense this season.

In terms of defense, the Giants will still have a rough time. They haven’t made any huge additions and lost a couple of pieces. Veteran safety Stevie Brown is gone and with Jason Pierre-Paul’s injury he can’t be counted on. The Giants defense will be their downfall in the end. Last season their pass defense was ranked 18th in yards allowed per game while their run defense was ranked 30th. There’s no reason to believe these numbers should drastically change at all.

The Giants haven’t changed much since the last season and that will show. You can expect an exciting year from the ever explosive Beckham, but that about as good as it’ll get for Giants’ fans this season.
