1. Eddie Lacy, RB, Green Bay Packers

This may come as a surprise, but Eddie Lacy is my favorite player going into this year. He is a very consistent player and the safest pick of the draft. The halfback has only missed one game in his brief NFL career.

He blends into the Packers offense smoothly and defenses struggle to contain not only Lacy, but reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers. This forces defenses to space out to try and limit the duo.

Not only will Lacy hurt you running the ball, but he is a deadly receiving option out of the backfield. Last season Lacy rushed for 1,139 yards and accumulated 427 receiving yards as well. He tallied 13 total touchdowns throughout the season. He finds the end zone on a consistent basis, as he was tied with only Jordy Nelson for most touchdowns by a Packer all season. He is a terrific option heading into the season, and is a great well-rounded player for your squad.
