Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has ended his eight day holdout from the Seahawks training camp.

Lynch, who rushed for 1,257 yards last season, held out from the Seahawks training hoping for a new contract. However, Lynch will not be receiving a new contract yet, having to settle with his current four-year, $31 million dollar deal. The 28-year-old is two years into that contract and would like to extend that deal.

Seattle’s front office have said that Lynch will not be receiving a raise in his contract. Head Coach Pete Carroll also stated, “It’s a contract for a reason. We made a decision and it was signed, by us and by them”.

Lynch was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2007 and has been playing for the Seahawks since 2010. He has rushed for 4,624 with the Seahawks and helped them win Super Bowl XLVIII. He has also attended three Pro Bowls and was named to one First Team All-Pro while in Seattle.

Lynch has attended the past two days of training camp with no apparent problem and it seems as if things will go back to normal for the reigning Super Bowl champs.
