Defensive Player of the Year: Rudy Gobert, Utah Jazz

Last season, in a meager 26.3 minutes per game, the second year center averaged a whopping 2.3 blocks per game.

In limited time, Gobert was able to finish third in the entire NBA in blocks per game, with only Anthony Davis and Serge Ibaka ahead of him. With Gobert now in the starting lineup, he can easily double that amount of blocks per game. Look for Gobert to be a dominant defensive force next season and win the Defensive Player of the Year award.

Honorable Mention: DeAndre Jordan, Los Angeles Clippers
