5. Kawhi Leonard
Draft: 2011
Pick: 15th overall
College: San Diego State

Kawhi Leonard hasn’t been a stat stuffing player in his four years in the league, his career best scoring average was 16 points per which was put up last year. Part of that is because Leonard plays for the San Antonio Spurs, who typically don’t have players that put up great numbers. You can’t argue with Leonard’s success, however.

NBA Champion, NBA Finals MVP, NBA Defensive Player of the Year, perhaps the most decorated player on this list. He lead the league in steals per game last year as well; though Leonard is only just beginning to scratch the surface of what he can accomplish in his NBA career. Heading into his first year as the Spurs’ guaranteed face of the franchise and go-to player, Leonard is a potential MVP candidate heading into the prime of his career.
