11. Eric Bledsoe
Draft: 2010
Pick: 18th overall
College: Kentucky

After serving three years as Chris Paul’s apprentice in Los Angeles, Eric Bledsoe has proved himself to be a very valuable starting point guard in his two seasons with the Phoenix Suns. In fact the past two years have put Bledsoe undoubtedly in the top-12 point guards in the NBA; maybe top-ten if you’re good at debating.

In two years as a full time started, Bledsoe has averaged 17.3 points, 5.8 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.6 steals on 46.2% field goal shooting and 34% from three point range. Bledsoe is also one of the league’s best defensive point guards on the perimeter, something he undoubtedly learned from Chris Paul. While turnovers are an issue, it’s not enough to take away anything from Bledose’s play.

Bledsoe is heading into his first year where he has to be a true leader for a team, because Phoenix doesn’t have anybody else that’s been there long enough to be a true leader. He never had to do that at Kentucky (playing with John Wall and Demarcus Cousins) nor with Phoenix until Goran Dragic was traded. The potential is there for Bledsoe to be an All-Star, even in the Western Conference.
