10. Klay Thompson
Draft: 2011
Pick: 11th overall
College: Washington State

If you looked up the word microwave on Urban Dictionary and went to where it lists the synonyms of the word, Klay Thompson’s name would show up on that list. Arguably the second best pure jump shooter behind his Golden State Warriors’ teammate Stephen Curry; Thompson is known for being able to get hot from three point range, then got hotter, and hotter, and hotter until he ultimately catches on fire.

Thompson’s offense has only gotten better and batter over his four seasons in the NBA, climbing from 12.5 points in his first season that landed him on the 2012 NBA All-Rookie First Team, to 21.7 points per this past season which landed him on the All-NBA Third Team as well as an All-Star and NBA champion.

Thompson has shot over 40% from three point range in every season he’s been in the league; his career three point percentage (41.8%) almost matches his overall field goal percentage (44.3%) to tag along with a 84.6% free throw percentage.

Thompson and Curry make up the best backcourt in the NBA, and certainly the most entertaining to watch. The Splash Bros share an NBA record for three pointers made in a single season for a particular player duo. Thompson is arguably a top five shooting guard in the league right now, maybe even top three behind James Harden and whoever you decide to place as the second best. Thompson is also the only player on this list to hold an NBA record, when he torched the Sacramento Kings for 37 points in the third quarter of a January game.
