9. Jimmy Butler
Draft: 2011
Pick: 30th overall
College: Marquette

Butler is the lowest picked player on the list, being the last pick of the first round in 2011 by the Chicago Bulls. The story of Butler is a great one, because he came from literally nothing; being homeless for a lot of his life. Just like any great story though, Butler overcame all odds and could have been satisfied with just being in the NBA.

Butler wasn’t though, and after being a role player for two years and an average starter in the third, Butler has emerged to one of the league’s newest stars. In a breakout season, that eventually led to Butler winning the 2015 Most Improved Player award, Butler showcased versatile wing-scoring ability (20 PPG) that is a solution of very solid athleticism and coexists with defensive prowess that is even better.

With Derrick Rose on obvious decline due to those knee injuries, Jimmy Butler should become the face of the glamorous Chicago Bulls franchise very soon. Already a top five shooting guard as it is, Butler is fully capable of taking over as the best two-wing in the NBA very soon as well. Butler’s game is one that you can’t not love; humbled, effective, and dominating.
